 Ten Acres / Inglewood

With a blue-sky Taranaki day and a gorgeous couple to shoot, Shelley and Dan's wedding was always going to be stunning. The whole day was gorgeously put together and had such beautiful vibes. Shelley is a local girl from New Plymouth and Dan is from Canada (in retrospect, a great relief that all his family was able to make it out), and the wedding was out at the brand new Taranaki wedding venue of Ten Acres, just outside of Inglewood. This is Shelley's family home, and her parents, Chris and Errol's very first wedding at the wedding venue, so we got to christen it! They have a clear permanent marquee for receptions, and for wedding ceremonies an amazing lawn which has Mount Taranaki perfectly framed in the background (the cloud which had been hiding it thankfully parted just as the bride and groom finished their 'I do's' in time for their exit!)

After the ceremony had finished Flossy's Icecream Caravan (all the way from Mt Maunganui) was serving up fresh sweet ice cream- they make ice cream with liquid nitrogen right in front of you, which is very cool - although I wasn't very popular when I displaced the very long cue to jump the bridal party to the front for photos. And Alpacas! When they aren't setting up a new wedding venue, Chris and Errol also breed Alpacas - so many cute Alpacas in the adjoining paddocks - which have to be one of the most adorable animals. They weren't super compliant about posing for photos, but they had just popped out a baby Alpaca that week called "Romeo" in honour of the wedding! Oh and I loved the cake topper, made and handpainted by the bride's mum for them - so sweet! So many cute details - check out the post for more...
